71st Division

The Division was formed in Hampshire and Surrey in November 1916. The Infantry was provided by the breaking up of the 6th Provisional Brigade and three Battalions from the 190th Brigade, 63rd Division. The Division remained in Great Britain on Home Defence Duties. The break up of the Division started in January 1918, and all the units had been transferred, drafted or disbanded by April 1918.

249th Graduated Bn. Jul 1917 - 27 Oct 1917. Became the 51st Graduated Bn Bedfordshire Regt.
51st Graduated Bn Bedfordshire Regt. 27 Oct 1917 - 19 Feb 1918. To the 64th Division.
52nd Graduated Bn Royal Sussex Regt. Nov 1917 - 18 Feb 1918. To the 64th Division.
250th Graduated Bn. Jul 1917 - 27 Oct 1917. Became the 52nd Graduated Bn Middlesex Regt.
52nd Graduated Bn Middlesex Regt. 27 Oct 1917 - 26 Feb 1918. To the 64th Division.
100th Provisional Bn. 24 Nov 1916 - 10 Jan 1917. Became the 29th Bn London Regt.
29th Bn London Regt. 01 Jan 1917 - Sep 1917. To the 226th Brigade.
