51st Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. Formed from the 238th Graduated Bn which in turn was formed from the new 4th Training Reserve Bn.

51st Bn West Yorkshire Regt. Formed from the 242nd Graduated Bn which in turn was formed from the new 10th Training Reserve Bn.

51st Bn Sherwood Foresters. Formed from the 246th Graduated Bn which in turn was formed from the new 15th Training Reserve Bn.

51st Bn Hampshire Regt. Formed from the 280th Graduated Bn which in turn was formed from the new 33rd Training Reserve Bn.

52nd Bn Hampshire Regt. Formed from the 281st Graduated Bn which in turn was formed from the new 93rd Training Reserve Bn.

I have been unable to find out why new Training Reserve Battalions were formed.
