Highland Mounted Brigade

Mounted Brigade was a Territorial Force brigade already in existence at the outbreak of the war. At the outbreak of the war it was based at Inverness. The brigade moved south serving at Huntingdon, Lincolnshire and Norfolk. In Aug 1915 the brigade was dismounted for service at Gallipoli. It served at Gallipoli attached to the 2nd Mounted Division.
