2nd South Western Mounted Brigade

The 2nd South Western Mounted Brigade was a Territorial Force brigade already in existence at the outbreak of the war. At the outbreak of the war it was based at Exeter. In Aug 1914 the brigade moved to East Anglia, in Sep 1915 it dismounted and sailed for Gallipoli. After serving on Gallipoli the brigade arrived in Egypt in Dec 1915 and here it was absorbed into the 2nd Dismounted Brigade in Feb 1916.
